Federal Accountability: Litigating Police Misconduct Under the FTCA

ABOUT THE EVENT

The National Police Accountability Project will host a half-day CLE during the 2026 NLG #Law4ThePeople Convention in Detroit focused on litigating claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA). This training will cover the substantive law governing FTCA claims as well as practical guidance on bringing and litigating these cases against federal law enforcement officers. 

The session is designed for civil rights attorneys seeking to deepen their understanding of the FTCA and strengthen their approach to federal police misconduct litigation.
